Description:

Pollop is a ranking-based content sharing platform where users can create and discover new trends. Users gain insights into the latest trends of user-generated content through the platform's intuitive display of content and hashtags rankings, based on simple "likes."

Two main ways enable participation on Pollop. First, the community can review new content using the First Impression feature, eliminating social influence and concealing the creator's identity. Second, after the initial review, content is evaluated within its category and hashtags, presented according to popularity. Users can contribute by offering their "likes" to increase a piece of content's score if they missed out on participating during the First Impression.

The weighty First Impression score remains fixed, in contrast to category scores that diminish over time.
If a user fails to find a desired trending hashtag, they can establish a new one and receive acknowledgment as the creator. The creator's name will be preserved in the hashtag display for as long as it remains in use. However, in cases where the hashtag corresponds to a copyrighted name, Pollop may need to modify or remove the display upon request.
